Georgia on my mind......

Doesn't this photo look refreshing?  While on vacation early last month we stopped in the beautiful little alpine town of Helen, Georgia (USA) and this shot was taken behind the Nora Mill Granary, a working grist mill and store located on the Chattahoochee River in the foothills of the North Georgial mountains.  Check out their website for some interesting info on their history www.noramill.com/store/history.php

Beautiful....now, for some reason, I have just an old sweet, sweet song going through my mind.

I visited their link and was fascinated with the history of the place. I've already added it to my list of places to see. I'll be up in Ellijay in the Fall to visit the apple barn and I've added a visit to the Nora Mill Granary while I'm there. Thanks so much for sharing this!

I enjoyed visiting the mill. It was a long time ago but I remember they had a pot of grits on the stove and you could get free samples. I didn't care for the town of Helen at all.
